On May 6, 2014 Mr. Casey Makokis of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 55 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Tootoosis; son, Jeremy Makokis (Chantelle Cardinal); step-children, Chris Wood (Loran Cardinal), Aaron Tootoosis (Zora), Tyson Tootoosis & Dawn Tootoosis (Andrew); a grandson Casey raised, Teagan Sokwaypnace; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brothers & sisters, Leona Makokis of Bonnyville, Susan (Gus) Dion of Kehewin, Eugene (Patricia) Makokis of Saddle Lake, Bernie (Gloria) Makokis of Edmonton, Eddie (Lorraine) Makokis of Saddle Lake, Tina (Victor) Houle of Edmonton, Marilyn Makokis & Ricky (Joanne) Makokis all of Saddle Lake; adopted brothers, Jeff Brightnose, Clifford Rabbitskin & Dave Courchene; brothers-in-law, Jim, Alexander, Jerry, Patrick, Richard, Paul, Clayton & Wayne Tootoosis; numerous nieces, nephews & extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Vernon & Alice; 4 brothers, Martin, Dennis, Brian & Vernon Jr. A Wake will be held on Thursday & Friday, May 8 & 9 at Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre, St. Paul. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Mannawanis Native Friendship Centre, St. Paul.
