Obituary
On June 19, 2020, Mr. William “Bill” James Randolph Kuryliw of Vilna passed away at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his daughter, Anne-Marie (Allan) DerFong; son, Billy Kuryliw (Shelley Lupaschuk); 6 grandchildren, Hailey Faith, Avah Angelina, Colton (Angie), Skye, Danica (Keith) & Austin Guerra; 4 great-grandchildren, Talon, Xaida, Zoey & Easton; mother, Kathleen Kuryliw; 2 sisters, Marlaine Pidluzny (Larry) & Roseanne (Ken) Garner; 2 nephews, Dale Pidluzny & Dylan Garner. Mr. Kuryliw was predeceased by his father, Big Bill Kuryliw. Graveside Service & interment will be held at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Stry with Very Reverend Father Don Bodnar officiating. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) or Cross Cancer Institute c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. Dear Marlaine, my deepest sympathy to You, Your Mom, Roseanne, and the entire Kuryliw Family. Billy was a very thoughtful, kind and caring neighbor. He was also a very dear friend of mine. I will never forget when he shot that Bobcat that was creeping up our lane, it could have been a disaster if Billy had not been driving by, he saved the day for our Family! In those days, some people would just drive by and not help out, but not Billy. He really cared about his friends and neighbors, always giving a helping Hand! I know he really loved his sisters and felt very protective of You and Roseanne. I will always remember Billy for his wonderful, crazy sense of humor, his one liners were the best and he always cracked me up! I talked to him two years ago when I came Home, and that obnoxious, funny Humor was still alive and going strong. RIP Billy, you will be deeply missed by every Life You have ever touched!
