On November 3, 2014, Mrs. Betty Whelen of Helina passed away at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her loving children, Denice (Douglas) Palmer of Goodridge, Beatrice (Roger) Knapp of Fort Saskatchewan, Ricky (Val) Whelen of Goodridge, Ron (Helen) Whelen of Helina, Bonnie (Terry) Anderson of Fork Lake & Wade (Diane) Whelen of Fort Saskatchewan; sons-in-law, Norman Ward & Donnie Attfield; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Elinor) Bell of Cardiff; brother-in-law, Lester (Gert) Whelen of Ashmont; sister-in-law, Dawnie Pike of Rocky Mountain House; numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl; daughter, Darlene; son, Lloyd; granddaughter, Charlotte (Dave); great-granddaughter, Rachel. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Goodridge Hall, Goodridge. Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating, with interment in Fork Lake Cemetery, Fork Lake. It’s hard to believe that you left to join Grandpa.
