Our deepest sympathy and sorrow go out to you Cecil, Ben and family, I cannot imagine what you’re going through right now! Cecil we love you!

From: Roxanne Barber
Relation: Cousin

I am blessed to have known Bernard. He was a special person. My earliest memories are him as an older cousin who ENJOYED teasing his city cousins. Like convincing us that there were wolverines that would attack us if we slept in the Boler at Memere and Pepere’s. Then sneaking back at night with Marcel to shake the trailer and make “wolverine”noises.
My more recent remembrance is of a strong minded, direct person you told what he thought. Weather you wanted to hear it or not. But also a kind, generous person with the best sense of humour. Blaine asked him once if he could have a couple of old pieces of wood from the yard. Bernard said it would cost something, so they negotiated a trade for some fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. After he ate the goods he laughed and said the trade didn’t matter. The wood wasn’t his, it belonged to Auntie Sue.

The Barbers are saddened at the loss of our cousin and will miss him.

That’s right, that’s right.

Farewell Bernard.
