PAULENCU, Annie

On December 10, 2013, Mrs. Annie Paulencu of Smoky Lake, formerly of Vilna & Andrew, passed away at the age of 76 years.  She is survived by 1 brother, Frank of Smoky Lake; 2 sisters, Nancy Shankowsky of Vilna & Helen Frankiw of Edmonton; 2 sisters-in-law, Kate Kucher & Pauline Kucher, both of Vilna; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, Maxim & Annie Kucher; husband, Alex; 7 brothers, Nick, Andy, John, Joe, Pete, Alex & Bill; 2 sisters, Magda Cozicar & Mary Boyko; 2 nephews, Ed Shankowsky & Doug Kucher; & niece, Patricia Kenyon.  Divine Liturgy & Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Stry.  Reverend Father Don Bodnar will be the celebrant, with interment in the church cemetery.  If desired, donations may be made to Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Stry, or Smoky Lake Auxiliary c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
