Obituary
Born June 25, 1937 in Onion Lake, Saskatchewan, Alphonse Moses Makokis of Saddle Lake passed away on May 8, 2022 in Two Hills Long Term Care, at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his brother, Alvin (Doreen) Makokis; sisters, Mary Louise Makokis & Irene (Ron) Poitras; special niece, Charity Makokis, lovingly called “Mum” by Alphonse. He is remembered by numerous nieces, nephews & great-Chapans. Alphonse was predeceased by his parents, Harry & Mary Makokis; brothers, Albert, John, William, Peter & Kenny; sisters, Mary, Cecile, Rosanne, Cora & Elizabeth. A Wake will be held on Friday, May 13 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
