February 5, 1938 - November 15, 2020


On November 15, 2020, Mrs. Allwyn Ruttan of Gibbons passed away at the age of 82 years. Allwyn was a great woman with a sense of adventure and a passion for travel and cooking. She cherished her family, her farm & animals. She will forever be remembered by her 2 sons, Dean (Raili) & Michael; 2 grandchildren, Megan & Zoe; daughter-in-law, Claudia; her numerous nieces & nephews; and her friend and caregiver Blossom. Allwyn was predeceased by her husband, Donald Albert; son, Howard; parents, Fredrick & Mary “Jennie” Hutchings; siblings, Mildred, Fred, Tom, George, Muriel, Ken & Roy. At Allwyn’s request, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice c/o 5626 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. Allwyn was always one of my favorite relatives. Truly one of a kind. I will never forget the days at Bowron lake with the whole gang in Kokannee Clipper fishing and laughing. RIP Allwyn I will miss you.

Aunt Allwyn always had a sense of humor and with that was undeniable! I always enjoyed her perspective on politics, as she never held back how she truly felt. I have a lot of fond memories of Aunt Allwyn and she will be missed.
