On July 25, 2016 Alannah Cardinal of Goodfish Lake & Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 20 years. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kimowan Cardinal; parents, Ellen (Michael) Brighteyes & her father Dean Delorme; siblings, Alycia (Brandon Kematch) Cardinal, Chester Cardinal, Lawrence Cardinal, Micheal Brighteyes, Tanner Brighteyes, Connor Brighteyes, EJ Brighteyes & Clifford Brighteyes; nieces & nephews, Constance, Calvin, Calen, Keifer J.R., Dre & Keisha; maternal kokom, Noreen Cardinal; mosom, Alfred Houle; kokoms, Arlene Samson &Wendy Cardinal; mosoms, Leslie (Marilyn) Cardinal & Leon (Julia) Cardinal; numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. She was predeceased by Kimowan’s Dad, James Jackson; infant child; mosom & kokom, Frank & Jennie Cardinal & Alphonse & Margaret Makokis; aunts, Tanya Houle & Nicole Badger; uncles, Kirk Samson & Chad Cardinal, kokom, Rema Chief & mosom; Chester Cardinal; paternal grandparents, Doris “Nanny” Delorme & Ronnie Cardinal; uncle Calvin Cardinal. A Wake will be held on Sunday July 31 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake & Monday August 1 (leaving Saddle Lake at 3:00 p.m.) at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake. I am very sorry for your loss. I taught Alannah while she attended SPAEC and loved her humour, joy and sense of openness she brought to life. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the days ahead without her. I will miss her as well.
