Yvette Lavoie

On October 10, 2025, Yvette Anita Lavoie (nee Neveu) of Vilna, Alberta passed away at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her children, Denis (Terry), Diane (Dave) Lorraine (Michael) & Robert (Jill); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandson; siblings, Cecile, Claire, Doris, Anita, Maurice, Andrew & Irene; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Lavoie was predeceased by her beloved parents, Emile & Aline Neveu; & sister, Denise. Yvette was an avid gardener. Her garden & greenhouse were her pride & joy. She was well known for her baking and buns, and won many first prize ribbons for the baking and vegetables she entered in the Vilna Fair. She also had a creative side, and during the winter she worked on handmade rag rugs, crocheting, writing poetry and making baskets. From the time she was a young child until she passed away, Yvette’s heart always went out to those less fortunate and in need. For decades, her monthly financial support to an orphanage in India was an absolute priority. She loved and served the Lord and is now in the arms of Jesus where she longed to be. "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared" Exodus 23:20. As per Yvette’s wishes no service will be held.
