On July 28, 2026, Vance Whitford “Talaooch” of Edmonton, formerly of Kikino Metis Settlement, passed away at the age of 56 years. He is survived by his 4 sons & 3 daughters, Heather, Lyndsay, Carina, Tyrell, Taron, Skylar & Brayden; grandchildren, Ethan, Promise & Liam; great-grandson, Alikai; loving mom, Susan & step-dad, John; siblings, Hector, Marilyn, Jennifer, Tracey, Sheila & Carmen; uncles, Henry Whitford, Harold Erasmus, Derek Erasmus & Terry Bellerose; aunties, Mary Brertton, Virginia Whitford, Delia Steinhauer, Darlene Erasmus & Deliah Whitford; numerous nieces & nephews. Vance was predeceased by his dad, Allan “Tala”; paternal grandparents, Roy & Edna Whitford; maternal grandparents, William & Bertha Erasmus; nephews, Rorey Cardinal & Quinton White; nieces, Jody-Lynn Cardinal & Tiffany Desjarlais; uncles, Billy Erasmus, Benny Whitford, Gordon Whitford & George Whitford; aunties, Mavis Erasmus, Myrtle Whitford, Myrna Bellerose & Sherry Bellerose; great-nephew, Baby Jase; & the love of his life, Marley-Logan. A Wake will be held on Monday, August 3 at Kikino Community Centre, Kikino (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.). Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Kikino Community Centre, Kikino.
