On March 2, 2026, Ms. Stacie Wenonah Stanley-Waskewitch of Frog Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 38 years. She is survived by her mother, Donalda Stanley; father, Garry (Nellie) Waskewitch; adopted parents, Gwen & Daniel King, Ervin & Mary Jane Quinney, Tina Quinney; granddaughter, Brynlee; sister, Jody Stanley-Waskewitch; adopted sisters, Loretta King, Harmonie King, Darcie King, Danielle King, Tracie King, Rachelle Horse, Patti Quinney & Lezlie McKay; brothers, Alexander Stanley & Brandon Stanley; maternal grandmother, Irene Stanley; uncles & aunts, Darrell, Derrick & Myrna Stanley; Myrna, Maxine, Gus & Monica Waskewitch; nephews, Leearin, John, Theron & Raydin and numerous other nieces & nephews. Stacie was predeceased by her brothers, Freddy & Jayden Stanley; maternal grandpa, John Stanley; paternal grandparents, Albert & Marjorie Waskewitch; uncle, Glynn Waskewitch; aunt, Beverly Waskewitch; niece, Adyson King. A Wake will be held on Saturday & Sunday, March 7 & 8 at Kēhtē-aya-wikamik East Side (New Round Hall), Onion Lake, SK. (Procession will leave Grace Gardens on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and will make a brief stop at Stacie’s residence in Frog Lake then proceed to Onion Lake). A Traditional Funeral Service led by Elder, Ernest Stanley will be held on Monday, March 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Kēhtē-aya-wikamik East Side, Onion Lake, SK. Cremation to follow.
