Rose Prichuk passed away on the early morning of May 30th, 2012, with family at her side. Rose was born in Scotland and served with the British Army during World War II. After marrying her Canadian soldier, Fred, in 1945, Rose immigrated to Canada where she worked and lived on the family farm at Kinuso, Alberta. In the last year of her life Rose moved to St. Paul, Alberta.
Rose is survived by her children, Charles (Francis), Theresa, Michael (Catherine), Anne (Ren) and James (Judith). Rose is further survived by grandchildren, Roseanne, Matt (Kate), Charles, Michael-Anne and Stephen (Marlee); and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Liam. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; and her son, William.
With her increasing immobility, Rose was most appreciative of the help she received from family, neighbours and friends that enabled her to remain in her home until the last year of her life. Her family would like to thank Dr. Senekal and the staff of J.P. DeCosse Auxiliary Hospital for the care that they showed Rose during her stay.
In accordance with Rose”s wishes her remains were cremated and a Memorial will be held in Kinuso, Alberta, at a later date. To send condolences online, please visit www.gracegardensfuneralchapel.com.
