Rita Kryzanowski Obituary

On June 7, 2025, Mrs. Rita Kryzanowski of Glendon, Alberta passed away at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her sons, Derek (Lisa) & Kerry; daughter, Sharol (Dale) Zalaski; grandchildren, Ian, Kayla, Kody, Kyle, Kelsey, Lauren, Rebecca & Sam; great-granddaughter, Harper; siblings, Maurice Guilbault, Alfred Guilbault & Diana (Gus) Young; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs.Kryzanowski was predeceased by her loving husband, Harvey; parents, Arthur & Alice Guilbault; siblings, Lucien, Laurette & Emile (Bernard). Rita loved being a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, knitting, fishing, spending time at Minnie Lake, and especially cooking. She drove school bus for many years and at the end of each school year would treat the kids to homemade ice cream. She was a valued member of the Glendon community and volunteered countless hours to various organizations. The Glendon Community Church was especially dear to her, and she devoted much of her time to first the building, and then the operation of the church. But above all, she loved her family, and led by example with compassion, strength, faith and unconditional love. 

 

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Glendon Community Church, Glendon. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating with inurnment in Arcadia Cemetery, Glendon. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff at Bonnyville Healthcare Centre for the outstanding care provided to Rita.
