On July 5, 2025, Raven Berland of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 26 years. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Cardinal; step-father, Leon Moosewah; siblings, Tamara Cardinal, Tia Berland (Preston), Harley Cardinal, Dominic Berland, Tayla Berland & Tenika Cardinal; maternal kokum, Mary G. Cardinal; paternal kokum & mosom, Angelina & William Berland; special niece, Aleena Sparklingeyes; favorite security guard, Perry Cardinal; special friend, Malika; maternal auntie, Tanya Cardinal (Joel); maternal uncles, Jeff Quinney, Henry Cardinal, Lenny Cardinal (Ellie), Craig Cardinal (Tanisha) & Charles Cardinal; paternal uncles, Albert, Lance, Dwight & William Jr. Berland; numerous other relatives & friends. Raven was predeceased by his father, Conrad Berland; brothers, Cheperyn Berland & Alex Cardinal; mosom, Alex P. A Wake will be held on Tuesday, July 15 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) & Wednesday, July 16 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
