On July 9 2025, Mr. Norbert Dechaine of St. Lina, Alberta passed away at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne; children, Marcel, Cheryl (Jamie Young), Doris (Mike) Vallee & Gerard (Nicole); grandchildren, Cody, Mikayla & Erika Dechaine, Erin, Kirsten & Jay Young, Shaina (Colton) Hovde, Sheldon & Shawn Vallee, Reid & Katelyn Dechaine; great-granddaughter, Sadie Hovde; siblings, Fred (Barb), Claire (Julien) Paradis, Max (Anita), Bena (Jules) Michaud, Art (Pat), Phil (Joanne), Charlie (Lise), Omer (Jill), Anne (Butch) Watt, Carolyn (Kevan) Jess & Louis (Sue); sisters-in-law, Janet Dechaine & Louise Turgeon; brother-in-law, Gerald (Lorraine) Turgeon; numerous nieces & nephews. Norbert was predeceased by his parents, Frank & Margaret; in-laws, Louis & Doris Turgeon; brother, Andre; brother-in-law, Paul Turgeon. A visitation of family & friends will be held on Wednesday, July 16 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Helen’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Lina. A Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Father Paulson Kannanaikal as the celebrant. Cremation to follow.
