On October 23, 2025, Marlene Cardinal of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 55 years. She is survived by her children, Kiefer Gervais, Paige Gervais, Terri Ladouceur, Heather Ladouceur & Alex Cardinal; 4 grandchildren, Cohen, Kiera, Adam, Rayce & Wesley; siblings, Gordon, Darrell (Marlene Quinney), Eldon (Lisa Bigjohn), Jason (Renee Houle); & numerous nieces, nephews & relatives. Marlene was predeceased by her daughter, Taylor Gervais; parents, Louie & Emma; brothers, Gary, Wesley & Kenneth; paternal grandparents, Sylvester & Katie; maternal grandparents, Alex & Laura Doghead. A Wake will be held on Saturday, November 1 (leaving Grace Gardens at 3:00 p.m.), & Sunday, November 2 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Reverend Father Joseph Thaliparambil will be officiating with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
