Margaret McGilvery

On October 18, 2025, Margaret McGilvery of Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Alberta passed away at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Bonnie (Eric) McGilvery-Pasqua, Nicole Savoie & Ruth-Anne (John) Adcock; grandchildren, Caleb, Nola & Ethan Adcock; siblings, Louie, Pearl (Brady), Eileen & Leona; numerous nieces & nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Edmund & Agnes McGilvery; sisters, Caroline, Sylvia, Shirley & Julienne; brothers, Floyd, Norris, Cleophus, Vernon, Leonard, John & William. A Wake will be held on Friday, October 24 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.  A Traditional Funeral Service, led by elders, will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
