On June 9, 2025, Liz Mathiot of Mallaig, Alberta passed away at the age of 53 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Claude; daughters, Jenna, Mikayla, Caitlyn (Hunter) & Suzanne (Jonathan); siblings, Genie (Doug) Gardner, Eileen Smigielski, Edith (George) Lukinuk, Laurence (Beverly) Hagen, Barry Hagen, Keith Hagen, Kenny Hagen & Elsie Hagen; special sister, Melody (Ben) Kwiatkowski; numerous nieces, nephews & extended family. Liz was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence & Bertha Hagen; in-laws, Helen & Jean Mathiot; brothers, Donny (Linda) Hagen & Dennis Hagen; brother-in-law, Bud Smigielski; special grandma, Danena MacKinnon. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodridge Jubilee Hall, Goodridge. Pastor Owen Isaacson & Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating with interment in Mallaig Baptist Cemetery, Mallaig.
