On July 5, 2025, Landon McGilvery of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 25 years. He is survived by his son, Lyric Cattleman-McGilvery; nephew, Roper Large; mother, Chrisy Ann Steinhauer; sister, Rowena Steinhauer (Jerius); brothers, Kaleel Steinhauer, Blake Jackson, Thomas Sanderson & Ian Houle; paternal grandparents, Lyman McGilvery & Cindy Moosewah; special auntie, Maggie Cardinal; special friend, Glory Cardinal; adopted siblings, Matt Delver, Terrell Delver, Thomas Makokis, Hope Brertton, Shakina Shirt, Nipin White, Lancie Wood, Shoshanna Delver & Jaleesa Watchmaker; numerous nieces, nephews, friends & volleyball community. Landon was predeceased by his father, Dusty McGilvery; maternal grandmother, Doreen Brighteyes; maternal grandfather, Henry Steinhauer; cousin, Tara-Jean Cardinal; auntie, Tracy Delver; maternal great-grandmother, Rita Brighteyes; maternal great-grandparents, Emma & Louis McGilvery. A Wake will be held on Saturday, July 19 (Leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) & Sunday, July 20 at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym) with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
