On October 18, 2025, Mrs. Katherine Pauline “Katie” Lavallee of Brosseau, Alberta passed away at the age of 101 years. She is survived by 2 sons & 1 daughter, Reg, Brent (Judy) & Elaine (Ron) Chornohus; daughter-in-law, Anne; 8 grandchildren, Tod (Jasmine) Tjors, Scott Chornohus, Deena (Mike) Trischuk, Troy (Jen), Jason (April), Amelia, Becki & Kassi (Jim) Street; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Justina Wirachowsky; 2 sisters-in-law, Gisele Weir & Rita Lavallee; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Lavallee was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, Martin; grandson, Nolan; parents, Bernard & Amalia; 2 brothers & 3 sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church, Brosseau. Reverend Father Joseph Thaliparambil will be the celebrant with interment in the church cemetery.
