June Rurka

Through the grace of God, our mother, grandmother, June Rurka of Stry, Alberta, was taken to her final resting place on April 22, 2025 at the age of 83 years old. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Andrew Rurka, children, Gerard, Nick (Kathy), Margaret (Brian) Compo, Richard (Diane), Robert, & Rosie (Matt) Tominac; 13 grandchildren, Georgina, Nicole (Dustin), Brett (Reanne), Meghan, Eric, Ericka (Jarryd), Brittany, Natasha (Christopher), Onastasia (Caleb), Alexandra (Adam), Andrew, Joso & Jordy; 5 great-grandchildren, Kynlee, Breelynn, Kassandra, Jaxon & Grayson; 2 sisters, Florence De Almeida & Patt Wagil; numerous nieces & nephews. June was predeceased by her parents, Nick & Mary Dvernychuk; sisters, Betty Repchuk & Shirley Orlinski; brother, Edward Dvernychuk; nephews, Robert Repchuk, Jeffery De Almeida & Douglas Repchuk. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Reverend Father Andrij Nykyforuk will be officiating with interment at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church Cemetery, Stry.
