Joe Steinhauer

On June 25, 2026, Joe “Flash” Steinhauer of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his children, Tyrone & Byron; grandchildren, Harmony & Feather; siblings, Michelle, Gary, Leon & Judy; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews; special friends, Liz & his children’s mother Irene Cardinal. Joe was predeceased by his baby son Marcus; stepson; mom & dad, Eugene & Alice Steinhauer; Kohkom Flora & Mosom Clark Cardinal, Kohkom Susan & Mosom Mark Steinhauer, and numerous aunties & uncles. A Wake will be held on Thursday & Friday, July 2 & 3 at the Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.). A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake led by Elder Cliff Cardinal with interment in Steinhauer Homestead, Saddle Lake.
