On September 24, 2025, Jody Lynn Cardinal of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 43 years. She is survived by her companion, Keith Blood; 3 sons, Elijah, Ethan & Nevin Cardinal; mother, Theresa M. Cardinal; father, Clarence Josh Cardinal; 2 brothers, Jason & Josh Cardinal; sister, Keally (Warren) McDermott; 5 nieces, Destiny, Neyteeri & Kalani McDermott, Sage Rose & Addison Houle; special cousins, Teena Adams & Kelsey Cardinal; 4 special aunties, Patricia, Debra, Muriel & Maureen Cardinal; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Jody Lynn was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Mary Ida & Joe Arthur Cardinal; Bertha & Clarence M. Cardinal; 2 nephews, Sterling & Myles McDermott. A Wake will be held on Wednesday, October 1 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.), and Thursday, October 2 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Cremation to follow.
