Iris "Twist" Brertton

On November 19, 2025, Ms. Iris “Twist” Brertton of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 58 years. She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Brertton (Johnathon Redcrow); grandchildren, J.D. Brertton, Serenity Brertton, Cue Brertton, Jay Brertton Inyallie & Ron Brertton Inyallie; great-grandchild, Cee Jay Brertton; siblings, Duke Brertton Giant, Wanda Giant, Tina Brertton, Hansen Brertton, Ricky Jackson & Karen Quinney; & numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Iris was predeceased by her parents, Henry Brertton Giant & Charlotte Brertton; siblings, Alvin “Magic” Giant, Ronald Brertton, Henry Brertton Jr. & Cherilyn Cardinal. A Wake will be held on Wednesday, November 26 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.), & Thursday, November 27 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
