Gary Moosewah

On May 6, 2025, Mr. Gary “Mooniyaw” Moosewah of Saddle Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his life partner, Doreen Anderson; step-children, Kelly Anderson, Kevin (Lucille) Anderson & Twila (Mike) Anderson; 10 grandchildren; numerous adopted grandchildren & great-grandchildren including Sunman & Girlie; siblings, Monia Bentley Wahsatnow & Janice (Hughie) Makokis; fur baby, Mimi; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Mr. Moosewah was predeceased by his sons, Gary Lachance & Rusty Coyote; mother, Margaret Moosewah; siblings, Clayton Wahsatnow, Tracey Leonard & Kelly Wahsatenow; grandparents, Joseph & Maggie Moosewah; best friend, Bruce Gladue. A Wake will be held on Friday, May 9 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with Pastor Linda Burns officiating. Cremation to follow.
