Frances "Fran" Ruptash

Our beloved mother, Frances “Fran” Ruptash of Sherwood Park, Alberta, formerly of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at the age of 92 years. We will miss her greatly and are grateful for the many years we shared with her. 

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Henry) Peterson, Donna (Bill) Baker, Adele (Spencer) Thomas & Cameron (Tracy) Ruptash; grandchildren, Cameron (Sarah) Baker, Dale (Jeevan) Nagendran, Logan (Christina) Ruptash, Megan (Nick) Trail, Paige (Leo) Cook, Nickitta (William) Brown & Mackenzie (Calvin) Gow; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.  Fran was predeceased by her husband, Orest “Ozzie”; parents, Jim & Anna Cameron; brothers, Douglas, Gerald & Eldon; sisters, Olga Walton & Lorna (Al) Brewster; sister-in-law, Sandra Cameron; brother-in-law, Ed Walton. We would like to thank Dr. Dusang and all the wonderful staff at Sherwood Care for their compassionate and loving care of mom over the past two years. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Elk Point Senior’s Centre (Pioneer Circle), Elk Point. Pastor David Benjamin will be officiating with interment in Mooswa Cemetery,  Lindbergh. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed (See below). A recording of the service will also be made available.
