Elsie Acton

The family of Elsie Olga Acton (nee Kruk) of Edmonton, AB sadly announce her passing on January 28, 2026 at the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert, AB at the age of 88 years. Her niece Joanne was with her beloved Aunt Elsie during her final days and hours.

 Elsie is survived by her sister Nancy Shysh of Vilna, AB; nieces Joanne LeClair (Mark) of Calgary, AB and Marie Van Gurp (Christ) and family of Saanichton, B.C.; and nephew Ken Bonnell & family of Chilliwack, B.C.  She is also survived by her best friend and loyal companion Larry Sitarz of Edmonton, AB who, for many years, has been a great help and comfort.

 Elsie was predeceased by her parents, Irene and Zachary Kruk of Spedden, AB; sister Mary and Jack Bonnell of Chilliwack, B.C.; and beloved Uncle Peter of Cumberland, B.C. and later Spedden, AB.

 A Memorial and Graveside Service will be held at a later date with inurnment at the Spedden Orthodox Cemetery, Spedden, AB.
