On July 22, 2012, Mr. Elmer Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 55 years. He is survived by his special friend, Dorothy Shirt; 3 sons & 1 daughter, Quinton, Quennal (Rene), Quincy & Weonah (Lee); step-children, Lyle Cardinal, Brent (Vanessa) Cardinal, Tanya Shirt, Cameron (Tanya) Cardinal, Mitch (Carmen) Shirt & Harley (Raven) Shirt; 7 grandchildren, Serenity, Trinity, Quennal Jr., Levi, Laigiah, Savannah & Jesse; mother, Ida Cardinal; 4 brothers & 3 sisters, Harold, Ricky, Charles, Vance, Muriel, Debbie (Glen) & Terry. He was predeceased by his father, Richard; step-daughter, Carrie; brother, Andrew; 2 sisters, Priscilla & Rose; nephew, Bradley Gladue. A Wake will be held on Wednesday & Thursday, July 25 & 26 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Traditional Service will be held on Friday, July 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
