On March 5, 2026, Edwin Albert Lapatak of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 50 years. He is survived by his love, Krista Makokis; children, Bailey (Janessa), Dustin (Kiara), Reegan (Shyanne), Keanu & Roan; step-children, Taiven, Taesin, Tessiana, Tavaya, JR, Kezlee & Kyson; grandchildren, Wakiyan & Baby Lapatak due in April; Godchildren, Lacy, Tennielle, April, Creighton & LB; mother, Audrey Lapatak; siblings, Seanna, Brandon, Leroy, Karen, Kelvin (Tina), Wanda (Bob), Priscilla, Sharon & Shannon (Darcy); numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Edwin was predeceased by his mama, Mildred; maternal grandfather, Albert; brothers, Erwin, Keith & Clayton; nephew, Erwin Jr.; Uncle, Clinton; maternal great-grandparents, William & Justine. A Wake will be held on Thursday, March 12 (leaving Grace Gardens at 4:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
