On January 7, 2026, Mrs. Doreen Hays of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Elk Point, Alberta passed away at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her son, Allen; daughter, Kathy; grandchildren, Jacob, Carrie, Kyle & Dustin; 3 great-grandchildren, Axel, Alexa & Logan; siblings, Willie (Val) Poitras, Clarence (Betty) Poitras & Bernie (Faye) Poitras; sisters-in-law, Audrey & Marie Poitras; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Hays was predeceased by her husband, Doug; son, Gregory; parents, Pete & Margaret Poitras; brothers, Gordon & Ernest Poitras. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Elk Point Seniors Centre, Elk Point. Reverend Father Jerish Jose Arackal will be officiating with interment in the Elk Point East Cemetery.
