On April 13, 2026, Mrs. Delia Brertton “Osawi Peyesiw - Yellow Thunderbird” of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her loving children, Shirley Brertton, Judy Brertton, Pam (Randy) Scanie, Joey Brertton, Jamie Brertton (Jeremy Hunter), Leslie (Billy) Cardinal & Darcie Brertton; 26 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great-granchildren; siblings, Eva Moosewah (Dennis Cardinal), Cora Houle-Moosewah, Linda Makokis & Cindy McGilvery; siblings-in-law, Florence Moses, Eliza Brertton, Mavis Giant, Sylvia Brertton, Doreen Nayawatatic & Doris Nayawatatic; aunts, Mary O. Cardinal & Gloria Moosewah; numerous nieces & nephews; the Onion Lake, Saskatchewan Pahtayken family & all adopted family members. Delia was predeceased by her husband, George; parents, Joe & Maggie Moosewah; dad, Frank Mason; daughters, Brenda & Jody; granddaughter, Star; grandson, Shaun Cardinal; great-grandson, Kaiden Stone; brothers, Victor, Mike, Dennis, Patrick, Harold, Gerald, Leon, Vince & Gary; sisters, Rita, Margaret, Christine & Denise; & numerous brothers-in-law. A Wake will be held on Wednesday, April 15 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.). Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
