On June 2, 2025, Dawson Schaksen Callingbull of Saddle Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 23 years. He is survived by his daughter, Starla Ann; father, Rennie Callingbull Sr.; siblings, Carlos Berrios, Rennie Callingbull Jr., Jimmi Callingbull & Tannan Storm Redcrow-Anderson; aunts, Helen (Ron) Larson, Evelyn (Nestor) Kowch, Nora Redcrow & Shirley Wenger; uncle, Lenny Redcrow; niece, Amirann Callingbull; numerous other relatives and friends. Dawson was predeceased by his mother, Ann Callingbull; brother, Jose Fuentes-Berrios; maternal grandparents, Joe and Flora Redcrow; aunt, Mary Redcrow Moore & uncle, Joseph Redcrow. A Wake will be held on Sunday, June 8 (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Reverend Father Jerish Jose Arackal will be officiating with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
