On January 20 2026, Christine “Tina” Merna Houle of Saddle Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 71 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor; children, Candace (Jarrod), Edward (Caitlin) & Samantha (Nick); grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaycee Jo, Keva, Hudson, River & Nick Jr.; siblings, Leona, Sue, Eugene (Patricia), Bernie (Gloria), Eddie (Lorraine), Marilyn & Ricky (Joanne); sister-in-law, Gloria; special mom, Mary Brertton; numerous adopted children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Tina was predeceased by her parents, Vernon & Alice Makokis; siblings, Martin, Dennis, Casey, Andy & Brian in infancy; parents-in-law, Wilfred & Eva Favel; numerous other relatives. A Wake will be held on Tuesday, January 27 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) & Wednesday, January 28 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
