On December 23, 2025, Mrs. Catherine Bussiere (neé Kriaski) of St. Paul, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Bussiere) Kitt; son, Marcel (Karen) Bussiere; she also leaves to mourn three grandchildren of whom she was very proud and loved dearly, Daniel (Kelsey) Kitt, Master Corporal Sheldon Kitt and Nicole Kitt (Adam Humeniuk); three great grandchildren, Jacob, Devyn and Carson Kitt, who brought her much joy, especially around the holidays. Catherine also had a very special relationship with her former son-in-law, Michael Kitt and dearly loved his cabbage rolls and many card games. She is also survived by her sisters, Eva Kotowich, Rose Comire, and Jeannette Sigurdson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bussiere was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Comire; second husband, Remi Bussiere; infant son, Joseph Comire; parents, Joseph and Annie Kriaski; 2 sisters, Florence Gamache and Susan Boychuk; and her special companion and fishing partner, Harry Tymko. Catherine loved to play cards and she also enjoyed her time on the farm, cooking, canning, taking care of chickens, cattle and a large garden.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and inurnment at Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Cemetery, Flat Lake will be held at a later date.
