On December 4, 2025, Avery “Sugar” “Grizzly who Stands in the Clouds” Quinney of Saddle Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 49 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Delver; son, Elijah Cardinal; step-children, Ayla (Owen) Delver & Tarik Cardinal; grandchildren, Phoenix, Blair, Noah & Hunter; father, Victor Redcrow; sister, Desiree Quinney; uncles, Alex (Sheila) Redcrow, Andrew Redcrow, Marvin & Henry Quinney; aunties, Elizabeth Redcrow, Evelyn Redcrow, Mavis Giant, Barbera Hunter, Alice Quinney & Lydia Quinney; nephew, Chavion; special nieces, Anna Leissa & Feather; adopted mom, Lorraine (Peter) Cardinal; adopted dad, Wilfred Cardinal Sr.; adopted brothers, Wilfred (Rebecca) Cardinal Jr., Leslie Cardinal, Blair (Melody) Cardinal, Mike (Crissy) Gladue; adopted sisters, Heather & Bethany Cardinal, Tanis & Kaitlyn Redcrow; in-laws, Stuart, Earl & Samantha Delver, Violet Cardinal; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. A Wake will be held on Thursday, (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) & Friday, December 11 & 12 at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym) with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
