On December 27, 2025, Angie “Angelic” Brertton-Giant of Saddle Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her children, Gary Giant, Valerie (Howard) Courchene, Donna Giant, Darrell Brertton, Shannon Brertton & Kimberly Brertton; traditionally adopted daughter, Julie Red Gun; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Joe Cardinal, Clarence Cardinal, Irene (Brian) Mahingan & Alice Cardinal; numerous nieces & nephews. Angelic was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; parents, Albert & Mary Cardinal; daughter, Arlene; son, Larry; brothers, Johnson, Philip & Alex; grandchildren, Morgan Jackson, Dustin Brertton & Baby Kashtin Tony Jr. Moosewah-Giant. A Wake will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) & January 1, 2026 at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Resource Centre (Old Onchaminahos School Gym), Saddle Lake.
