As a young entrepreneur, Leanne co-founded Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel with her sister, Larissa in 2010, driven by a deep desire to serve families with compassion and care. Now managing the funeral home while Larissa has stepped away to focus on family, she remains committed to providing a comforting and supportive space for those navigating loss.

With over 15 years of experience guiding families through one of life’s most difficult transitions, Leanne understands that every farewell is personal and unique. She takes great care in helping families honor their loved ones with dignity and meaning, ensuring every service reflects the life and legacy being remembered. Leanne lives in St. Paul with her husband Joe and is proud of her young adult children Milana and Kaysen who are following their dreams.

Larissa Sadlowski

Larissa Sadlowski

Funeral Director/Embalmer

Larissa Sadlowski (nee Buryn) was born and raised in St. Paul.  She began her career in Funeral Service in 2005 at Yewchin’s Funeral Chapel, earning her Funeral Director & Embalmer’s license apprenticing under John Yewchin.  Over the past 20 years, Larissa has proudly served her community with commitment, kindness and compassion.

She and her husband Jamie welcomed their first daughter Renn in September of 2023 and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their second child, due in July of 2025.

Melanie Goulet

Melanie Goulet

Office Administrator/Apprentice Funeral Director

Melanie Goulet was born and raised in the Lakeland area, where her love for music initially connected her to the funeral industry at a young age. In December 2011, she discovered her passion for serving families during their most difficult times. Melanie and her husband, Robert, have a blended family with seven children. She is currently pursuing her diploma in Funeral Directing, eager to continue growing in her career and making a meaningful impact in her community. Her compassion and commitment to serving families make her a valued member of our team.

Lorne Buryn

Lorne Buryn

Funeral Attendant/Maintenance

Lorne has supported his girls, Leanne and Larissa, as they pursued their business goals from day 1. First, by being an unconditionally loving dad and secondly by being their business mentor and leader. He has worked along side the girls since they opened the funeral home in 2010 and is honoured to serve the community as a family. Now he enjoys semi-retirement spending the winter months in Arizona but continues to be a valued team member at the funeral home.

Melissa Crawford

Melissa Crawford

Funeral Director/Embalmer

Melissa Crawford was born in Foxwarren, Manitoba, and moved to Alberta with her family in 1998. Her interest in funeral service began in Grade 8 and grew through a Grade 12 work placement at a Manitoba funeral home. In 2012, she decided to pursue a career in funeral service.


Melissa joined Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel in 2014 as an Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer. She earned her Funeral Director’s License in 2016 and her Embalmer’s License in 2017. Since then, she has been privileged to support families with compassion and respect during difficult times. Melissa takes great pride in her work and is dedicated to providing meaningful, professional care to every family she serves.


Outside of work, Melissa enjoys camping, fishing, and exploring the mountains with her partner, Jeff. She is also the proud mother of four children: Drevan, Derian, Avery, and Aryssa.

Jordan Hunt

Funeral Director/Embalmer

Jordan, originally from Dublin, Ireland, began her career in funeral service by earning her funeral directing and embalming licence in Barcelona, Spain. Working in the profession abroad gave her a unique, multicultural perspective on death care and the importance of honouring diverse traditions and grieving practices. Seeking to continue her professional journey in Canada, she relocated to Lethbridge, Alberta, where she enrolled at the Canadian College of Funeral Service to complete her Canadian licensing requirements. She is proud to have graduated as Valedictorian in April 2026.

Over the past two years, Jordan has compassionately served families in Lethbridge and the surrounding communities, guiding them through some of life’s most difficult moments with empathy, professionalism, and respect. She is passionate about helping families create meaningful, personalized tributes that reflect the lives and legacies of their loved ones, and strongly believes in the value of time, care, and dignity in the grieving process.

Jordan recently moved to St. Paul with her husband, Richard, and their three cats. She is honoured to continue serving her new community and is committed to providing thoughtful and attentive care to every family she works with.

Richard Williams

Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer

Richard Williams, originally from Raymond, Alberta, spent a decade working in the oilfield before choosing to follow a more service-oriented path in funeral care. Growing up in a close-knit southern Alberta community shaped his values of hard work, respect, and helping others.

He is currently attending the Canadian College of Funeral Services, with plans to graduate in 2027. Richard is passionate about providing compassionate, dignified care and helping families navigate loss with understanding and support.

He works alongside his wife, Jordan Hunt, and is honoured to serve his community during times when care matters most.

John Yewchin

John Yewchin

Funeral Director/Embalmer

John was born and raised in the small community of Elk Point. He graduated from the Alberta School of Mortuary Science in 1969, and after working in funeral homes in Edmonton, AB and Dawson Creek, BC, he moved to St. Paul in 1972. In 1980, John realized his dream and built and operated Yewchin’s Funeral Chapel where he served St. Paul and area families with care and compassion for over 30 years. John is semi-retired, and when time permits, still enjoys helping families at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel.
